Crispy Thin Crust Pizza

I love thin crust pizza so much that I went on a hunt for pizza recipes and found this detail explanation of the tips for making thin crust pizza. There was difficulty rolling out the dough into a perfect round shape evenly. Several attempts were made into oval shapes & square shapes .. and even had mini ones for kids to play with their toppings! I guess it doesn't matter as long as the crust is evenly rolled out. All that arms workout and sweat will be worth it. Hope you had fun making this pizza too.

Make three 13 inches thin crust pizzas

2 cups bread flour
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp instant yeast (1pkt of 11gm)
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup warm water

  1. Mix warm water with yeast, oil, sugar and salt
  2. Add bread flour
  3. Beat until a dough is formed
  4. Chill in airtight container for 24 hours

  1. Preheat the oven at 250 degrees using top and bottom baking mode

Sheeting the dough

  1. Bring to room temperature 1-2 hours in advance
  2. Divide dough into 3 portions
  3. Scatter bread flour onto clean table top
  4. Roll the dough and scatter bread flour over it while rolling
  5. Roll the dough till thin layer
  6. Transfer to baking tray
  7. Using a fork, dock the dough

Baking the pizza

  2. Remove pizza from oven

  8. Bake for about 7-10 mins or until cheese & pizza base edges turns golden brown
  9. Switch back to top and bottom baking mode
  10. Open oven door
  11. Retrieve pizza carefully as the oven & pizza baking tray are extremely hot
  12. Put pizza baking tray on stove top

Serving the pizza

  1. Transfer to serving tray or plate
  2. Using a pizza cutter, cut into 8 slices
  3. Serve immediately

  • When using baking mode to bake for 4 minutes, it is to set the shape of pizza so you do not need to bake until its browned.
  • When using fan grill mode, it is to allow intense heat to cooked the toppings while maintaing the texture inside the crust.
  • If your oven takes more than 10 mins to cook and brown the edges of your pizza, you will find that the crust will turned crunchy like biscuit.
  • Watch your first pizza cook and time it to perfection!
  • When adding mozzarella cheese, laid them in small heaps instead of spreading evenly. That will reduce the chances of dragging the cheese around and making a mess.
  • If you are serving pizza tomorrow night, make the dough one night in advance. Just remember to let it sit in room temperature 1-2 hours before rolling it out.
